The web site of Great Britain's largest national park, home to around 17,000 people and 25% of Britain's threatened birds, animals, and plants. The park includes moorlands, forests, rivers, lochs, and glens.

Mountain Bothies Association
The Mountain Bothies Association is a charity which looks after about 100 shelters in some of the remoter parts of the UK. Most of the MBA bothies are in Scotland with others in the north of England and Wales. They belong to the landowners who allow us to maintain them for use by those of us who love to roam, and respect the great outdoors.

Munro Magic
A comprehensive resource for Munro and Corbett information. All 284 Munros and 220 Corbetts are covered in detail including descriptions, pictures, location maps, walking routes, weather reports, and many tools to help you find all the mountain information you require.

Kendal Mountaineering Services
Kendal Mountaineering Services (KMS) offer a range of bespoke outdoor activity and skills training courses to the general public, to suit all levels of ability and ambition. KMS runs courses by qualifed and experienced staff in the Yorkshire Dales National Park, The Peak District, North Wales, Scotland, and elsewhere in the UK.

Mountaineering Council of Scotland
The Mountaineering Council of Scotland represents around 130 clubs, as well as individual members, comprising mountaineering, climbing and hill walking enthusiasts in Scotland. The site provides a range of services, advice and information relating to mountain safety and mountain access in Scotland.

British Mountaineering Council
The BMC (British Mountaineering Council) is the representative body that exists to protect the freedoms and promote the interests of climbers, hill walkers and mountaineers, including ski-mountaineers, in England and Wales.
